Little J. Guides

Our Mission

The Little Juniata River, nestled in Central PA, is one of the most revered trout fisheries east of the Rockies.  Prolific hatches, broad-shouldered trout, and natural beauty mark this river’s reputation. The Little Juniata can present a variety of fly fishing challenges.  Whether you are an experienced angler who is looking to find the ideal water to fish or the novice who has never casted a fly rod, it is beneficial to hire a local guide.  Let Little J Guides give you the edge.

About Us

Andrew was born and raised in Altoona, and he is currently a third grade teacher as well as a dedicated Younglife leader.  Living so conveniently close to the Little Juniata River provides Andrew with more opportunities to fish than the common angler.  For over fifteen years he has been avidly fishing the Little J. year-round, which truly is how you get to know the River.  With his experience, enthusiasm, and teaching ability, Andrew will put you on fish.

Andrew Allender

A central Pennsylvania native, Dan has been fly fishing the Little Juniata and surrounding streams most of his life. After guiding on the Little Juniata for over a decade Dan has a knowledge of the river and its hatches few others can match.
